וַיֹּסִפוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לַעֲשׂוֹת הָרַע בְּעֵינֵי ה וַיְחַזֵּק ה אֶת־עֶגְלוֹן מֶלֶךְ־מוֹאָב עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵל עַל כִּי־עָשׂוּ אֶת־הָרַע בְּעֵינֵי ה

וַיֶּאֱסֹף אֵלָיו אֶת־בְּנֵי עַמּוֹן וַעֲמָלֵק וַיֵּלֶךְ וַיַּךְ אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיִּירְשׁוּ אֶת־עִיר הַתְּמָרִים

Jewish people did bad... again. Eglon took Amon and Amalek to fight against the Jewish people.

Where is the "city of palms"?

     1) Yericho (which was already destroyed)
     2) Jews are likened to Date trees as they have only 1 heart/trunk so too we are nourished by Hashem.

Hashem gave Eglon Melech Moav control of the Jewish people for 18 years.

Yehuda captures the city of Bezek

Adnoi Bezer ran away

Why did he call himself Adoni and not king?

He was caught and punished by having a thumb cutting

He told them that is how he punished his captives

They brought him to Yerushalayim to die - Think Teshuva

They captured and burnt the city of Yerushalayim (because it was full of idols)

(Kalev was the Shofet after Yehoshua)

Dvier a.k.a. Kiryat Sefer - Kalev offered whoever can capture the city can marry Achsa Bat Kalev.
    *Kiryat Sefer means the dwelling of the books - meaning they were forgetting Halachot

Atneei ben Knaz capture Kiryat Sefer and married Achsa

Achsa worked so her husband could learn and be the Shofet

Kalev gave Achsa and Atniel a gift of land in the Negev. She asked her father how to water the land and he gave her 2 pools of water. (1 upper and 1 lower).
     1- Kalev taught her to make an aqueduct.
     2- She learned that there are 2 oceans UNDER the sea!

Kalev got Chevron as he was promised by Moshe.

Yehuda did not finish conquering their land and left some nations there.
